CAPT Daigle is married to Kristin Daigle of Allentown, PA and they live in Springfield, VA with their two children, Cole (13) and Cooper (11).

He originally enlisted in the Navy in November of 1990. He completed the Machinist Mate nuclearpower training pipeline and was assigned to the aircraft carrier, USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) in February of 1992. He was selected for a commissioning program in April of 1993, and chose to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree at Marquette, CAPT Daigle returned to his nuclear power roots, this time within the submarine community.

He reported to the USS MIAMI (SSN 755) in Groton, Connecticut in January 1999 for his first sea tour assignment. During this time MIAMI completed one deployment to the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas, and conducted a homeport shift to Portsmouth, New Hampshire for a Depot Modernization Period. In July of 2004, CAPT Daigle reported as Strategic Weapons Officer aboard USS RHODE ISLAND (SSBN 740B) in Kings Bay, GA.

While aboard RHODE ISLAND the ship completed three strategic deterrent patrols. In July 2006, he reported to Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit, Charleston, SC where he served as the Executive Officer of MOORED TRAINING SHIP 635. From July of 2009 until March 2011, CAPT Daigle served as Executive Officer aboard USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) (GOLD) in Kings Bay, Georgia.

While aboard MARYLAND the ship completed three strategic deterrent patrols. CAPT Daigle then reported to the Pentagon for duty within the Office of the Secretary of Defense in March 2011, completing his tour in Nuclear & Missile Defense Policy in September of 2013.

CAPT Mike Daigle was the Commanding Officer of the USS LOUISIANA (SSBN 743) (BLUE) based out of Bangor, Washington from May 2014 to December 2016 where he completed three strategic deterrent patrols. Following Command, he was selected to be the Senior Member, Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board, Atlantic Fleet. His acquisition assignments include Principal Assistant Program Manager for Warfare Requirements/Test & Evaluation for PMS 397 (COLUMBIA) and PMS 450 (VIRGINIA) and most recently the Contender Program Manager and Director of Test & Evaluation for PMS 404 (Torpedos) before taking over as Program Manager of Submarine Combat and Weapon Control Systems (PMS-425).

CAPT Daigle is a career Submarine Officer and a qualified Nuclear Engineering Officer for the U.S. Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Marquette University, class of 1997. CAPT Daigle also holds two Masters of Arts degrees; one in Organizational Management from George Washington University and another in National Security Strategy and Policy from the Naval War College. CAPT Daigle is certified DAWIA Level III Program Manager and a member of the Acquisition Community. CAPT Daigle’s personal awards include Navy Achievement Medal (2), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy Meritorious Service Medal (2), Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Legion of Merit.
